Seven Months!! Ann Arbor, Michigan Children’s Photographer

My little guy is almost seven months. I can’t believe it. I couldn’t have asked for a better baby. He is a pure delight and we are all enamoured!!

I was honored to photograph Tess and Jordan’s wedding this past weekend at the Sacramento, California LDS temple. It was a beautiful wedding and especially meaningful since Tess is the daughter of my cousin. It is hard to believe that the baby I held so many years ago is now married!! They were a gorgeous couple and have a wonderful life ahead of them. Congrats!!

One of the great parts of photographing newborns is that, even at such a young age, each baby has his own distinct personality. Some babies would let you hang them upside down (not that I would ever do that!), and others are perfectly content until you want to move them around. They are smart enough to know that sleep is a precious thing! Sweet baby Reynold made us work a bit for great shots. He would sleep like a champ, until I tried to move him. Haha! None the less, we prevailed. We got some fantastic shots of him. I love that mom and dad brought some of dad’s law school books. It was a little tricky getting him to sack out on them, but once we did, he was out! Thanks for letting me meet your precious little boy!

Twice as Nice- Ann Arbor, Michigan Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to photograph these beautiful twins. Once baby is amazing, but two…I was in heaven. I will never get tired of snuggling babies that are fresh from God.

Olivia and Connor were such sweet little babes. It was amazing the difference two pounds made! They both were little champs while we posed and posed and posed! I couldn’t get enough of Connor’s fantastic hair and Olivia’s perfect little lips. Hope you enjoy this little peek at these tiny little twins!

Dad is a firefighter so that picture is especially meaningful!

He’s here! {Ann Arbor Newborn Photographer}

I am happy to announce that my little guy arrived in October. We are all enamored with him and have enjoyed the time to adjust to having a baby in the home again! J and Miss P adore him and it has been so cute to watch them with him. They want to help with everything from changing diapers to feeding the occasional bottle. They lay with him on the floor during tummy time and will run any little errand I ask them to on behalf of their brother. It is great!

I am hoping to start updating here again soon. This past year was a crazy one for our family…from being pregnant and having a baby to having my hubby living away for an internship last summer, it was a very busy year. I am looking forward to all this new year holds and taking lots of pictures in the process!

Introducing BENNETT!

Fall is here again!! Ann Arbor, Michigan Children’s Photographer

I love this time of year…the crispness in the air, apple cider, donuts, decorations. It all makes my soul happy! This year I am enjoying it in smaller doses as I wait for baby boy to arrive any day. It is so fun to have my kiddos at an age where they will cooperate (or at least can be bribed to cooperate) to take pictures. I packed them up after Jackson got out of school one day and with a friend headed over the the apple orchard. They were such great sports, considering that there were swarms of mosquitos there!! I hope to go back again tomorrow (if I can muster up the energy) and try again with my hubby in tow. He seems to be able to get them to really smile!

I can’t claim this little cutie as my own, but the picture was too cute not to share!!

The L Family- Ann Arbor, Michigan Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family while I was out west a few weeks ago. I hadn’t seen them since their little girl was days old so it was so fun to reconnect, see how she had grown and take some family portraits for them. It was so hot out (though I have learned, since living in the midwest, that there is a BIG difference between humid heat and dry heat. None the less, it was a toasty day and they were troopers!!

When I found out that my hubby would be spending his summer doing an internship in St. Louis, my first thought should have been about where he would live or something along those lines, but instead I immediately thought, I know a great photographer in St. Louis and I wonder if she would be interested in trading family sessions.
