A Little Contest!! (St. George Photographer)

Well, I promised it and here it is, the first of my new blog contests.

I {heart} Target. I mean, seriously. When I have a bad day, I want to go to Target. When I am bored, I want to go to Target. There is always something to find and see that I want and need (or don’t really need, but convince myself that I do). I can spend far too much time perusing the aisles for laundry soap, photo props, candy, cd’s, dishes, clothing. You name it, they have it.

So, I thought a Target gift card for $25 would be a very fitting first contest. Here is what you need to do:

This little guy was a gem to photograph. He would whimper for a second when I moved him and then it was back to sleeping. I am so so happy with how these turned out. And, check out those spit bubbles! Is that not the cutest thing EVER!!

Mine on Monday!

Well, here is a fun little story about my oldest, Mr. J. He has always had issues with scissors…meaning, he likes to use them to cut, shall we say, unorthodox things…clothing, quilts, and most especially, his and his sister’s (5 inches last August) hair. I thought he had grown out of this phase and so I had rewarded him with some scissors in his art box, since he loves drawing etc. I was wrong and one day while combing his hair I noticed a nice bald spot right in front. I didn’t fix it for him and have been making a big point of telling him how handsome his is, except for his bald spot (I fully utilize the guilt and manipulation tactic when possible). My hubby got on board too and at church this past Sunday he was telling J how handsome he is, minus the bald spot right in front. J was quiet for a moment and then replied, “but Dad, you have a big bald spot on top of your head.”

Touche, I say.

Welcome Welcome!

I am beyond thrilled to “unveil” my NEW blog. I have been wanting to put a new, more professional blog together for some time and here it is! Of course, I didn’t do it myself…this whole HTML stuff is so far over my head it isn’t funny! I can’t wait to post some photos here. I have photographed FOUR baby boys this month and have some awesome stuff to preview from those sessions. I am also setting a goal this year to be a better blogger. Not only will I be posting pictures, but you will all be privy to my musings about my kids, life and photography in general. I know you can hardly wait! I am also going to have themed days and actually try to keep up with them . I will try. That is all I can guarrantee. I do have two crazy kids so life is sometimes, somewhat unexpected. Mondays are insired by a fellow photographer friend, Andrew Andrews, and will be titled, “Mine on Monday”. I will share a little glimpse into my life…and the life of my kids. I have a pretty good one for today’s first post, so hold on tight…I need to make dinner first!!
