When I was back home I had the pleasure to photograph my good friend’s four children. They are all such cute kids, but that little one…she is just the cutest little thing. She has more spunk in her pinky finger…

Happy Birthday to my Little Miss-Ann Arbor Children’s Photographer

I took Miss P out for her annual 5-10 minute birthday shoot. It is a good thing I don’t expect much more with my kids, because they aren’t going to give it! I was completely thrilled with the shots we got and then proceeded to follow her around for a few “candid” shots. She didn’t like that one bit and in her sassy little voice said, “I thought you said we were done.” Geesh…if only she could know how much she will some day appreciate my photography obsession.

Now, I still need to get J out for his birthday shoot (he turned 6 in February). The winter was an unmotivating time of year to photograph anything. Hopefully I will be back soon with some of him!

I have finally awakened from my long winter’s nap. Not that winter is over here in Ann Arbor, but it had to end. Did you know that the high is 48* today. 48*. Should I mention that May begins on Sunday {sigh}. My camera has taken a long winter nap as well. So, I was very happy to have a GREAT reason to dust it off and do what I love again. These cute kiddos are friends of a client from Vegas…small world, right?!?

They are such beautiful kids and it was so easy to photograph them. Mom brought loads of cute clothes which I love! As usual, the almost two year old gave me a run for my money…they always seem to do that. It is almost like they have a mind of their own!

Can you believe how cute these two are? The two year old was not too interested in having her picture taken so once we got a few, we let her play and we went to town with this cute Valentine baby. She will be one on the 14th and could she be any easier to love. I think not. She was all smiles, as long as mom wasn’t around. Once she spotted mom, she knew where she wanted to be and it wasn’t with me.

What fun and energetic boys these were!! The two year old kept me on my toes. I tried every trick I know to get him to do what I wanted and I succeeded in the end!! Thanks for a great session. Can’t wait to show you all the darling pictures!!

I am so proud of my catchy title…for me coming up with the title is the hardest part of the post! I had the priviledge of photographing this beautiful “tween” while I was visiting my inlaws in Georgia last month. She was an absolute delight to hang out with. I just think this age is so awesome because they still have child in them, but every so often that budding teenager emerges. G was hilarious…making jokes, changing clothes and laughing at my husband’s lame jokes. Here are just a few of the great shots I got!

I had the pleasure of photographing the J family. Their kids were such troopers and we braved the cold, cold weather! The little boy was a tough cookie to crack, but when I brought out the wagon, he found his happy spot! So glad I spotted that gem at the antique store just the day before! Thanks for letting me photograph your darling children. It makes what I do so amazing!

Five on Friday-Ann Arbor Newborn Photographer

Remember a long time ago when I used to post “Five on Fridays”? Well, here I am again…finally! And here I go with my five!

1. I just used some of my birthday money to buy “Just Dance” for the Wii. Has anyone used it? It got great reviews on Amazon and I have a feeling I am going to be needing some indoor workout ideas this winter. I will let you know how it goes.

2. Speaking of dancing…I sorta wish I was a celebrity so I could be on Dancing with the Stars. It looks like so much fun. And, I choose Derek as my partner.

3.I just finished making applesauce from my two bushels of apples. I am pooped. I have to finish processing the last six and I am done for the year. I love the feeling of satisfaction I get from being industrious, but I am always glad when it is over and I can just snuggle on the couch with my little missy.

4. My house needs some serious TLC right now. Basically, I need to clean from top to bottom…including my sticky applesauce floor.

5. I am LOVING the fall colors here in Michigan. I have attempted twice now to photograph my children in them with no success. My youngest can be quite a pill when she wants to be!! I am loving everything about fall too…baking, cool weather, apple picking, electric blankets and everything else that goes with it.

And, for your viewing pleasure…the sweet Miss P (not mine, a good friend’s daughter from Santa Clara). Isn’t she just gorgeous and her skin is amazing!

Splish Splash-Ann Arbor Children’s Photographer

Well, we have almost hit the two month mark here in Ann Arbor, Michigan…hard to believe!! We are liking it a lot, though I miss my friends and family back in Santa Clara. That being said, I will tell you what I DO NOT miss! Did you know it was still in the triple digits yesterday in Santa Clara. YUCK!! I have been loving the cool temps here!! (check back in another month when the temps start to plummet!) For now, though, I will enjoy every moment of it!

I ran by this puddle while I was out exercising with my Miss P and the rest of the run the ideas were churning in my head. We hurried in when we got home, threw on a swimsuit, grabbed the boots and umbrella and headed back out. It wasn’t too cold out, but by the time we were done my little Missy was pretty chilled. She LOVED every minute of being allowed to make a mess in a puddle. And me, I loved almost every shot that I got. I love so many things about this age, but one of my favorites is that cute, three year old little body. How can you not just want to squeeze and kiss that little girl??
