Mine on Monday!

Well, here is a fun little story about my oldest, Mr. J. He has always had issues with scissors…meaning, he likes to use them to cut, shall we say, unorthodox things…clothing, quilts, and most especially, his and his sister’s (5 inches last August) hair. I thought he had grown out of this phase and so I had rewarded him with some scissors in his art box, since he loves drawing etc. I was wrong and one day while combing his hair I noticed a nice bald spot right in front. I didn’t fix it for him and have been making a big point of telling him how handsome his is, except for his bald spot (I fully utilize the guilt and manipulation tactic when possible). My hubby got on board too and at church this past Sunday he was telling J how handsome he is, minus the bald spot right in front. J was quiet for a moment and then replied, “but Dad, you have a big bald spot on top of your head.”

Touche, I say.
